Swahili Fashion week 2013: Designer Schedule


Swahili Fashion Week is now THE platform for fashion and accessory designers from Swahili speaking countries and the African continent to showcase their talent, market their creativity and network with clientele and the international fashion industry. This is all aimed at emphasizing to the region that fashion is an income generating creative industry, meanwhile promoting a "Made in Africa" concept.
Swahili Fashion Week is a platform founded and created by celebrated Tanzanian couturier, Mustafa Hassanali in year 2008. It currently is the biggest and largest annual fashion event in the whole of East and Central Africa.

The 6th Swahili Fashion Week is just around the corner and this seasons fashion week is poised to be a truly magical and memorable event. East and Central Africa’s largest fashion platform will feature 26 Tanzanian Designers, with 18 Regional Designers from 9 Countries. The platform was founded and created in 2008 by celebrated Tanzanian designer, Mustafa Hassanali with the vision of becoming a global platform where designers Swahili speaking countries and across Africa can showcase their talent, market their creativity and network with clientele and the international fashion industry. Each year, Swahili Fashion Week keeps on getting better and this season’s event is definitely going to be a steamy affair. Below is a line-up of the designers who will be exhibiting and the dates.
