She beat five other athletes to win heat 7 in a time of 51.24 seconds, while Omotosho emerged fourth in heat three with a time of 52.11 seconds.
Nigeria’s Amaechi Morton also qualified for the semi-final games for the men’s 400m hurdles, coming third with a time of 49.34 seconds.
