Beyoncé donates her I Was Here track and video to World Humanitarian Day

           Generous: Beyoncé and songwriter Diane Warren have donated album track I Was Here to World Humanitarian Day Charitable: The singer will film a video for the track at the United Nations General Assembly Hall in New York City in front of a live audience

The Halo hit-maker and songwriter Diane Warren have donated album track "I Was Here" to World Humanitarian Day. Beyoncé will film a video for the track at the United Nations General Assembly Hall in New York City in front of a live audience on August 19. 

'We all see the headlines and we think what can I really do to help?', she said. 

'World Humanitarian Day is an opportunity for all of us to work together to make a difference. This is our time to leave our mark on the world and show that we were here and we care.'

Beyoncé's latest act of good will comes after she announced plans to star in a documentary about her life and career.
The documentary will focus on the release of her 2011 album 4 as well as her marriage to Jay-Z and the birth of the couple's daughter Blue Ivy in January 2012.
