Born in Lagos 28 years ago to a Ghanaian mother and Nigerian father, her modeling career began at the age of 13 in London and she has since strutted on runways of some of the world’s most coveted fashion shows including London Fashion Week, Arise Fashion Week in Lagos, Johannesburg Fashion Week and Cape Town Fashion Week.

She was one of the Nigerian contestants and finalists at Nokia Face of Africa in 2005 at the age of 19 and featured in many local magazines including Marie Claire, Elle Magazine, True Love and Glamour Magazine.

She was discovered by the MODELS1 agency whilst shopping in Topshop with her dad, who was then her manager, in London.

She was recently announced as the Brand Ambassador for the international beauty company, Elizabeth Arden, at a prestigious event that took place in Krammerville, Sandton, South Africa, making her the very first Nigerian and African Ambassador of the company.

Her new activities will include featuring in Elizabeth Arden’s campaigns for Skin Illuminating, Visible Difference and Perfectly Nude SPF15 and foundation brands across Africa.

She succeeded Lerato Moloi, who will mentor her through her reign as the ambassador and will hold the title starting from this month, February.

The manager of the beauty company stated that as a company, they wanted to celebrate each woman’s unique beauty through individuality, diversity and original expressions of beauty and that Adeola has all of these qualities which resulted in her being selected as a spokesperson that African women could identify with.

Adeola, who once stated in an interview that models are walking hangers and living mannequins, expressed delight at her emergence as the brand ambassadors saying, “being chosen as an Elizabeth Arden brand Ambassador in Africa is an incredible honour.”
