Adeola Ariyo, a top African model, and an actress made her acting debut in an international movie, Doomsday in 2008 and has recently emerged the first African ambassador for Elizabeth Arden.
Born in Lagos 28 years ago to a Ghanaian mother and Nigerian father, her modeling career began at the age of 13 in London and she has since strutted on runways of some of the world’s most coveted fashion shows including London Fashion Week, Arise Fashion Week in Lagos, Johannesburg Fashion Week and Cape Town Fashion Week.

Orire Omatsola had this to say , “as a creative, I love to focus on the bare necessity. Call it a cliché but for me, less is honestly more. I believe in creating pieces that are clean, finely finished and most importantly non-fussy. I really wanted a simple palette for this collection. I had to train myself for the first time to be as cohesive as possible, focusing on only three colours, white, blue and pink.”

Eseoghene, is the creative director of Hesey Designs. She started her own accessories business right out of university. She used Google Search and YouTube to learn how to create handbags, and via Search found contacts for blogs and magazines to feature her products. Her bags, which she now sells through her business website, have been featured in over 100 blogs. Helping others create a source of income, Eseoghene also conducts training classes for other women who want to learn her trade and build a similar business for themselves. Her dream is to build her business into an international brand that promotes African designs.

Our aim is to highlight products that are 100% made in Africa: the design of the fabric & the product realization and manufacturing "hand-sewn" in South Africa, the land of origin of the brand. The word comes from Babatunde Yoruba (language spoken mainly in Nigeria) and means "the return of the father."
Hazel Eki Aggrey-Orleans is the creative force behind the high-end London-based fashion-label Eki Orleans. Born in Germany, raised in Nigeria and educated in London, her design aesthetic has been strongly influenced by this diverse mix of cultures. She draws inspiration from all of her cultural experiences, most notably, however, from her West African heritage. Growing up in the buzzing, chaotic and culturally diverse city of Lagos, Hazel first developed a love for the vivid and earthy colours of Africa.
The collection draws its inspiration from exploring and celebrating the human body through a unique combination of colours, style and self examination. According to Bubu, the collection was “created while I was pregnant, my body went through so many changes. My “blood” and my “bones” were creating another being, my son. My body inspired me to create a collection that reflects my innermost workings.”

FABRYAN (fa-bri-an) is a luxury womenswear & accessories brand with ethical values. Launched in September 2010 during London fashion week by self-taught designer Samantha-Jane. Fabryan supports the Children of Haggai Foundation by donating a percentage of sales to sponsor orphans in Nigeria to get an education.
