Lauryn Hill Faces 3 years in Prison for Tax Evasion

Oh Lawdy Lawd! Lauryn Hill may be heading to prison after pleading guilty to tax evasion. She may face up to 3 years in Jail.

Hill admitted she didn't pay taxes on about $818,000 earned in 2005, $222,000 in 2006 and $761,000 in 2007. The money was earned by four corporations she owned.
Hill was released on $150,000 bail, and her sentencing hearing is set for November.



According to TMZ reports:
When the judge asked if Hill "intentionally and willingly" failed to file the returns, she replied, "Yes."

We certainly hope that Lauren will work something out so she doesn't have to go to jail!
